Love is the Only Weapon

We’re just people on the same world
Under one sky that holds us all
Your flag may wave in red and white
Mine in colors of a different light
But cut the skin, the truth comes through—
The blood is red for me and you

So let the sirens fade away
Let the guns fall quiet today
There’s no true enemy in sight
Just hearts that lost their way in the night

Love’s the only weapon that never runs dry
No smoke in the air, no mothers that cry
Just a hand reaching out through the dark of the night
Saying maybe together we’ll make it right
Peace isn’t silence—it’s breathing the same air
Standing together, knowing we care
War only lives while we say it must stay
Peace begins when we choose another way

Children playing where the walls fell down
Dust on their shoes in a broken town
They look at us with wondering eyes
“Why do the grown-ups trade hope for fights?”
We teach them anger, teach them blame
But love is the lesson that ends the pain

So let the truth rise like the sun
For every heart, for everyone
There’s room enough beneath this sky
For every dream, for every life

Love’s the only weapon that never runs dry
No fire in the sky, no tear in the eye
Just a voice saying softly across the divide,
“I see you, my friend, come walk by my side.”
Peace isn’t silence—it’s breathing the same air
Standing together, knowing we care
War only lives while we say it must stay
Peace begins when we choose another way

I’ve seen the maps drawn hard with pain
Lines like scars across the plain
But every border fades with time
And every heart still beats like mine
So I’ll be the first to say today
I’m listening… and I will stay

Love’s the only weapon—hold it like a prayer
No more “us” and “them,” just people everywhere
Put your hand in mine, let the old hate fall
We can mend this world, one heart at a time for all
Peace isn’t silence—it’s laughter in the rain
It’s hope rising up again
When we say “enough,” and truly believe
That’s the day the world will breathe
